Chemical Performance Testing
While the only true performance test for production chemicals rests in the fields themselves, laboratory testing on oilfield samples and fluids are vital in narrowing down options and providing best paths forward. Oracle blends these standard laboratory techniques with extensive practical experience in the field to ensure that your systems and trains are treated with the best performing and most efficient products for each production chemistry challenge.

Cold Finger Testing
Cold finger testing is an excellent starting point for paraffin inhibitor selection on crudes. While there are some aspects of the cold finger testing that cannot simulate field conditions, this tool can be utilized to narrow down selection. Testing parameters can be customized by the customer, or recommended by Oracle’s knowledgeable staff with over 500 tests designed and performed.
Solids Solvency Testing
At times, remediation of solids in oilfield lines are needed to resume full scale production. Oracle employs both quantitative and qualitative techniques with product solvency testing to ensure that the most efficient remediation product is chosen. Testing parameters are also adjusted depending on the application method (soak, pigging or continuous injection).
Scale Static Jar Testing
Qualitative testing for scale inhibition for calcium carbonate and barium sulfate scales are performed via the static jar. Synthetic brines mimicking system brines are created and dosed with scale inhibitors to determine the most effective and lowest concentration.
